Mastering Autodesk Inventor 2009 and Autodesk Inventor LT 2009 ReviewAs the previous reviewer points out, this is not a book for those who are new to Inventor. I originally bought this book to help my new engineer, but quickly realized that the intended reader is someone with some Inventor time under their belt.
In going through it for my own benefit as an experienced user, I'm pleased to have found a reference for the Inventor tools I don't use all the time. It's certainly not a good book for the beginner, but if you've used Inventor for a while and have the basics down, then this book has some hard to find information in it. The chapters on large assemblies, the design accelerator wizards, and weldments will all be a big help.
I picked up a lot of things from just flipping through the tips from Sean Dotson that are sprinkled throughout all of the chapters as well. These tell you things about how stuff really works from a user's point of view. There is also a chapter called Inventor Tools Overview, that has information explaining several utilities and functions that I wish I'd known about last year.
