While my artistic photography is strictly film-based (I am a large-format B&W specialist), I have used Photoshop Elements for many years when scanning and preparing my images for my web site [...] and other marketing and publicity activities. Over the past several years, Photoshop Elements has grown considerably in its power, and now contains many of the features traditionally reserved for the professional version of Photoshop. Philip Andrews' new book, Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, walked me through all of the new features in a clear and concise way, and is organized so that I can easily select specific subjects without sequentially reading all of the material before. This makes the book ideally suited for someone like me who has some basic knowledge, but needs to come up to speed on the new Elements features. However, the book also contains all of the step-by-step information for someone who is new to digital photography, organized in such a way that they can read as much or as little as they need, depending upon their existing knowledge.
