ZBrush 4 Sculpting for Games: Beginner's Guide ReviewI recently bought this book to help me with a 3D character modeling class for school. Even though this says it's for Game Modeling it's an excellent beginner modeling book for using ZBrush and doesn't necessarily have to be applied to only game model building. The concepts can be applied to other modeling scenarios.
The author describes everything in a way that is super simple in such a way that even if you opened ZBrush for the first time you'd be able to get around in there with the help of this book.
There are references with step-by-step instructions with screen shots on how to use the tools and even lists the short cuts (which is extremely helpful in any 3D modeling program). Like other people have said, the images are not in color but you get the general idea. I found that when doing the exercises in the book with the program open it's much better than trying to read the book by itself.
