Guided Reading: Making It Work (Grades K-3) ReviewI use guided reading in my classroom and am looping first to second grade this year. I found this book to be very helpful and explanitory. I will use the book lists as well as their categories (emergent, progressing,transitional and fluent) to classify readers and make my guided reading groups. This book is teacher friendly and gives schedules of their days as well as concrete information that can readily be adapted and used. This book choice will be helpful for the teacher beginning to use guided reading, as well as the teacher who has already gotten their feet wet.
